According to the Environmental Protection Agency, residents, businesses and institutions produced more than 245 million tons of trash every year. That is approximately 4.5 pounds of waste per person per day. The problem is most major municipalities only offer eco-friendly disposing options to residents and not to businesses or commercial properties. Despite the fact that the majority of us spend the most of our day at work and millions of our citizens live in communities classified as commercial properties, there is a lack of convenient, simple recycling options available.

Purge Services – eRecycling
E-waste is any refuse created by discarded electronic devices and components as well as substances involved in their manufacture or use. The disposal of electronics is a growing problem because electronic equipment frequently contains hazardous substances. In a personal computer, for example, there may be lead in the cathode ray tube (CRT) and soldering compound, mercury in switches and housing, and cobalt in steel components, among other equally toxic substances. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), more than four million tons of e-waste go to U.S. landfills each year.
Does your organization have old electronics that need to be disposed in an environmentally safe manner? Let the Green Dream Company create and implement a plan that makes recycling your E waste as simple as 1,2,3!

Container Recycling
How It Works – Step 1: The Consultation
First, we visit your organization to conduct a free consultation and analysis. At this point, we are trying to determine what types of recyclable material your organization is producing and the quantity of material that it produces on an average day. This information helps us to determine the following:
- How much recyclable material does your organization produce on a daily basis?
- Which recyclable material dominates your organization’s waste stream?
- How many bins will your organization need for proper storage?
- How frequently will our company need to collect the material?
Step 2: Innovation & Implementation
After we have clearly determined the needs of your organization we will begin to innovate ways to effectively implement the new plan. We believe that a plan is only a successful plan if it inspires a high level of participation from its target audience. In order to make your recycling program successful we provide your organization with an assortment of tools that can be used to promote the program to staff and residents. Here are a few things that we offer:
- Orientation classes to familiarize your staff or residents with the rules of the new program.
- Online instructional video that clearly demonstrates how to properly participate in the program.
- Written guidelines for the program that can be distributed to participants.
- Determine the number of bins to be used, the layout of those bins, and the frequency or projected dates of collection.
- Signage on each bin that clearly displays what material is acceptable for recycling.
Step 3: Inspiration
Finally, we will spread the word about the impact your organization is making by collecting and analyzing several measurable outcomes of the program. We will measure things like how many trees, water, oil, and cubic landfill space is saved by your organizations efforts. We believe that converting activity into tangible outcomes creates a better understanding of the purpose of the program. But the true magic of Step 3 is that we use this information to actively promote your company to the community via newsletters, social media, and website links. By promoting your company in this manner we hope to inspire people in the community to do business with you and to follow your lead down the path to sustainability.
Benefits and Frequestly Asked Questions
- Recycling can save you money by reducing the amount of waste your organization produces that has to be sent to the landfill.
- Recycling conserves natural resources, such as timber, water, and minerals.
- Recycling prevents habitat destruction, loss of biodiversity, and soil erosion associated with logging and mining.
- Every ton of paper that is recycled saves 17 trees.
- Making cans from recycled aluminum (versus raw materials) cuts air pollution by 95%.
- The energy we save when we recycle one glass bottle is enough to light a light bulb for four hours.
- It takes 95% less energy to recycle aluminum than it does to make it from raw materials. Making recycled steel saves 60%, recycled newspaper 40%, recycled plastics 70%, and recycled glass 40%. These savings far outweigh the energy created as by-products of incineration and land filling.
- In the U.S., processing minerals contributes almost half of all reported toxic emissions from industry, sending 1.5 million tons of pollution into the air and water each year. Recycling can significantly reduce these emissions.
- When one ton of steel is recycled, 2,500 pounds of iron ore, 1,400 pounds of coal and 120 pounds of limestone are conserved.
- A national recycling rate of 30% reduces greenhouse gas emissions as much as removing nearly 25 million cars from the road.
- According to the EPA, if recycling was made available to all of the 13.2 million multifamily housing units throughout the United States, at least 847,000 additional tons of materials could be diverted from disposal facilities nationwide.
Do you need to separate materials?
We offer what is commonly known as a single stream recycling service. This allows you to dispose of wide range of materials into one central bin. Those materials include paper, plastics, glass bottles, chipboard, aluminum, bi-metals (steel, alloy, or tin cans) and cardboard.
Do you accept cardboard?
We do accept modest amounts of cardboard. We also ask for the boxes to be broken down and flat for easier transportation.
How long is the agreement?
We offer a month to month agreement for all of our clients. This eliminates any need for long term commitments for our clients.
You may want to consider offering annual contracts for those who would like a guaranteed price.
How much does the service cost?
We charge a small flat monthly fee for an unlimited amount of pickups each month. This fee is determined on a per client basis. The fee is usually offset by the client’s savings in garbage disposal.
What happens if my containers get too full and overflow?
Normally we schedule to clear the bins on a weekly basis, but we provide a hotline number for overflows. Clients don’t have to wait for their scheduled date; instead we will clear the bins within 24 hours of the overflow call.
What do your recycling bins looks like?
We offer a variety of recycling bins based on your needs. The most commonly used bins are the standard 45 and 65 gallon bins that are either black or blue in color.
What type of batteries do you accept?
Nickel Cadmium, Alkaline, Nickel Metal Hydrate, and Lithium Ion.
What type of toner cartridges do you accept?
All toner cartridges are accepted.
